Janet has worked for numerous opera companies

in the UK and abroad including Wexford Festival

Opera , Welsh National Opera, English touring

Opera, Opera Holland Park, Longborough

Festival Opera, Dorset Festival Opera, Islenska

Operan (Iceland), Opera Africa(South Africa),

European Chamber Opera and Opera Project.

She has been Music Director for opera scenes at

the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and

also at the Birmingham Conservatoire,

Söngskólinn í Reykjavík and the short works

programme at Wexford Festival Opera. In 2019

she joined the staff at the Royal Academy of

Music as a vocal coach. Janet also prepares

many leading artists for their operatic roles both

in UK and abroad.

 

In concert she has performed as an accompanist

at many of Britain’s concert halls including

St David’s Hall, Cardiff, The Symphony Hall,

Birmingham and the Cadogan Hall, London. Internationally she has given recitals abroad including Spain, Russia, Qatar, New York, Iceland and Japan with singers including Kiri Te Kanawa.

Janet has also enjoyed work as a choral conductor and was the Music Director for Côr Meibion Gwalia based in London (2004- 2012)

Recent opera work has included ‘Così Fan Tutte’ this summer at Dorset Festival Opera and in the Spring of next year she will join the music staff at Islenska Operan for a production of Die Walkűre.
